Greg Hire - Founder & Director
Greg Hire is a highly respected advocate for mental health, community engagement, and personal development in Western Australia. As a former professional basketball player, he experienced the importance of physical and mental well-being and witnessed the struggles of those around him, motivating him to champion mental health causes. In 2014, Greg founded A Stitch in Time, an organisation dedicated to raising mental health awareness and providing support to those in need.
He actively engages with various organisations, schools, and sports clubs, offering impactful workshops and programs to prioritise mental well-being and resilience. As a sought-after speaker and mentor, Greg shares his own journey to inspire audiences on personal growth and overcoming challenges. His authenticity, empathy, and commitment to making a difference have earned him respect and admiration, making him a role model and catalyst for change.

Brad Robbins - Education Manager
Brad Robbins is a retired professional basketball player and dedicated mental health advocate who has made a significant impact on and off the court. Known for his tenacity and leadership in basketball, Brad's journey extends beyond sports as he courageously shared his struggles with mental health to raise awareness and break down stigmas.
As a mental health advocate, he has been a driving force within the Stitch in Time team, delivering powerful speeches and workshops to promote mental well-being and provide support to individuals facing challenges. Brad's authentic approach and vulnerability have resonated with audiences, empowering others to prioritise their mental well-being. He continues to make a difference through his involvement in mental health initiatives, driven by a genuine desire to create a supportive and understanding society.
Michelle Partridge - Schools and Sports Wellbeing Lead
Michelle Partridge is a certified counsellor with a Diploma in Counselling and a strong passion for helping individuals unlock their potential and navigate life’s challenges. With experience supporting people with learning difficulties, she is dedicated to fostering social and emotional wellbeing, encouraging resilience, and building self-confidence. Known for her kind and compassionate nature, Michelle sees the good in everyone and inspires others to recognise their own strengths.
At A Stitch in Time, Michelle is the Sports and Schools Wellbeing Lead. In sport, she partners with associations and community clubs to create mentally safe environments where athletes and members can thrive. In schools, she helps design wellbeing days, facilitate focus groups, and deliver programs that build awareness and understanding of mental health. She is also a safeTALK trainer, equipping individuals with practical skills to recognise and respond when someone may need support.
Michelle delivers workshops such as Foundations of Mental Health & Wellbeing and Talk Is Cheap, which focus on identity, self-confidence, respectful behaviours, and stronger relationships. Through her work, she is committed to empowering people to embrace their strengths, overcome barriers, and lead more fulfilled and connected lives.
Faye Jolly - Special Programs Coordinator
Faye Jolly is a dedicated psychology graduate, personal trainer, and passionate advocate for the integration of physical and mental health. After completing a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), Faye pursued her love of movement through fitness coaching, combining her expertise in both fields to promote holistic wellbeing. Her belief in the powerful connection between body and mind has shaped her career and continues to guide her work.
At A Stitch in Time, Faye leads Special Programs, building community partnerships to deliver events, initiatives, and fundraisers that create lasting impact and support the organisation’s mission of suicide prevention and mental health education. She is also the facilitator of the Compassion Code, a school-based workshop that empowers young people to be kinder to themselves, manage their inner critic, and strengthen resilience through compassion.
Through her programs and community engagement, Faye inspires individuals to embrace self-care, prioritise their wellbeing, and recognise the strength in compassion.
Dr. Marny Lishman - Psychologist
Dr. Marny Lishman is a highly respected Health & Community Psychologist, author, keynote speaker, and media commentator. With a Bachelor's Degree and a Doctorate in Psychology specialising in Health & Community Psychology, she empowers individuals to thrive in their personal and professional lives by developing mental agility and resilience. Dr. Lishman's work spans government prevention programs, academia, and a successful private practice in Perth, Western Australia. She delivers captivating presentations and serves as a psychologist presenter and advisor at A Stitch In Time, a mental health charity. Nationally recognised for her expertise, she offers commentary on mental health topics and is the Resident Psychologist on Channel Nine's '9 News at 5' in Perth. Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Lishman finds solace in nature, reading, meditation, and spending time with her children, highlighting her love for animals and the outdoors as crucial elements of her well-being.
